Daily Announcements October 18, 2017

  • Congrats to our Volleyball team for defeating Miyamura yesterday good job ladies!!!!
  • Eurotrip 2019 is being planned! Come to the Eurotrip meeting Wednesday November 1st at 5:30 pm in B201 to find out which trip has been selected! Learn how to sign up to join a once in a lifetime experience, hear from previous travelers, and see pictures from past trips. Don’t miss out! This trip is open to all area high school students and families.
  • Students a reminder tutoring is available in the library Monday thru Thursday from 4-5pm. Mondays & Wednesday is Math & English, Tuesdays & Thursdays is Science and Social Studies.
  • Thursday October 19th there will be a Senior class meeting at 8:05 am. in B 106.  Important decisions need to be made.  All officers must attend.  Thanks.
  • ACT prep classes will be offered by Ms. Zecca & Ms. Merrill on Tuesday Oct. 24th and Thursday Oct. 26th in C204 from 4-5 pm. If you have any questions, please see one of them.

  • Seniors and Juniors, Duke University will be visiting Gallup High on October 17th during 1st hour and Lincoln Tech University on October 18th during 5th hour. If you'd like to sign up, please see Mrs. Martinez in the Counseling Office ASAP. Deadline is October 16th after school for Duke University and October 17th after school for Lincoln Tech.
  • Swimmers, afternoon swim practice will begin TODAY Tuesday, October 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Gallup Aquatic Center.  Please bring goggles, swim cap and swim suit.  Remember to get your physicals done soon.  You may get them done at the Teen Health Clinic here at Gallup High School.  Please see Ms. Yardley in Counseling if you have questions.

  • Powderpuff will take place tonight at 7 at the Stadium. Come watch the Juniors battle the Seniors. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students.

  • Junior Class Officer nominations will be held on Friday October 6th during our regular junior class meetings. Must be present to nominate someone.
  • The junior class is sponsoring an approved “Dress Code Buy Out Day” this Friday, October 6.  The ticket students can purchase for $2 and the list of students who purchased tickets will be emailed out to teachers on Thursday sometime after we are finished selling tickets.
  • Please let the students keep the dress code tickets as they are required to produce it on request so they don’t get a dress code referral.  Dress code buy out does NOT INCLUDE hoodies, hats, ripped clothing or inappropriate clothing. Your support and help in making this a successful event is greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

  • Congratulations to October Rotary Seniors of the Month, Lucia Kezele and Kevin McKennon.  Lucia and Kevin will be honored at the October 18th Rotary luncheon and are eligible to compete for scholarships up to $6,000.  Congratulations again to Kevin and Lucia.
  • The junior class is sponsoring an approved “Dress Code Buy Out Day” this Friday, October 6.  The ticket students can purchase for $2 and the list of students who purchased tickets will be emailed out to teachers on Thursday sometime after we are finished selling tickets.

  • Faculty & Staff remember and advisor from Grand Canyon University will be visiting and providing refreshments tomorrow in the Library quiet room. Grants, scholarship and Credit Transfer information for Degree Programs & Recertification courses will also be available.  Please check your emails for more details, otherwise enjoy lunch!
